2 Kings 18-19, 1 Peter 2

  1. Every person and organization has a mission. Your mission in the thing you want the most. It comes from your identity and you see all of the work towards your mission as a moral imperative. What examples have you seen of this in your life?

  2. Read 2 Kings 18:1-22. What seemed to be Hezekiah’s mission as King of Judah?

  3. Read 2 Kings 19:14-19 and 19:35. How did Hezekiah’s mission change?

  4. Read 1 Peter 2:9-10.

    • What is the identity of the church? What does it mean we are a chosen race and a holy nation?

    • What is the mission of the church? What actions are we called to?

  5. Read 1 Peter 2:11-12.

    • Why does Peter refer to the church as “sojourners and exiles”?

    • Why is our conduct amongst unbelievers key to our mission?

  6. How does mission clarity help provide calm in the midst of our storms?

  7. Why does politics have a special kind of power in confusing the mission that God has sent us on?

  8. How do we maintain mission clarity during 2024 and during other

storms we might face as a church?
