A Weary World Rejoices, Pt. 2

A Weary World Rejoices, Pt. 2 | He Sees You

Luke 13:10-17

  1. Read Luke 13:6-9 and then Luke 13:10-17. How is v.10-17 a kind of example of a tree that has no fruit?

  2. Your impression of God is most influenced by your faith community. What do you think was this woman’s impression of God through attending this synagogue?

  3. What about you? As you think through the various faith communities you have been a part of (if any) - how have they shaped your impression of God?

  4. If Jesus walked in the room right now - what would you feel? What do you think He would feel about you?

  5. Why is it vital that we are a faith community that sees people and each other the way Jesus saw this woman?

  6. Why is curiosity vital to seeing people like Jesus saw people? How do we practice curiosity before judgement? Why is this difficult for us?

  7. Why do we give ourselves more benefit of the doubt than others? Why do we have more understanding for ourselves than others?

  8. Read Genesis 3:8-10. Why are we more comfortable hiding from God and others than being seen? What does it look like to allow others to truly see us?
