We will be temporarily gathering together, in-person, for worship at Cedar Run Community Church (13560 McLearen Rd, Herndon). For safety reasons, our gatherings will be outside unless there is inclement weather. Frequently Asked Questions

Q
Is this a joint service between Grace Hill Church and Cedar Run Community Church?

A

No. Cedar Run Community Church is generously allowing us to use their facility on Sunday afternoons.

Q
How many people will be in attendance?

A

When meeting outside, we will allow as many people to come as is safely possible, with proper distancing between family units. When meeting inside due to inclement weather, we will have a limit of 80 per service.

Q
How will social distancing be accomplished?

A

When meeting outside  individual households are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to spread on the ground for the service. They are required to distance by at least 6 feet from other family units. When meeting inside, we will have groups of chairs for family units already distanced inside the sanctuary.

Q
Do I need to bring my own chair for outdoor services?

A

Yes! When we are gathering outside, please bring your own chair or blanket to sit on. When the service is moved indoors, chairs will be provided.

Q
Will sanitation stations be available?

A

Yes, we will have Hand Sanitizer available at the entrance of the property.

Q
Do I need to wear a mask while attending the service?

A

When meeting outside, masks are mandatory for anyone 4 years of age and older, for walking onto and exiting the property but may be removed during the service. When meeting inside, masks will be required for anyone 4 years of age and older for the entire service except when taking the Lord's Supper.

Q
If the service is moved inside, will I need to RSVP?

A

At this time, RSVP's will NOT be required but we will be checking-in each individual who attends our indoor service for contact tracing purposes. If we announce that our service will be moved inside due to weather, we will also send out a "pre-registration" link so you can skip the check-in line when you arrive. Our indoor services will be capped at a total attendance of 80 in order to maintain proper social distancing.

Q
Will child care or a children’s program be made available? If not, are my children welcome to attend the service?

A

We are currently NOT providing programming for children. Your children are more than welcome to attend the worship service as there is plenty of space for them to move freely and the casual atmosphere is perfect for families to attend together. We are currently aiming to begin limited children's programming in the beginning of May.

Q
How long will the service last?

A

About 75 minutes or less.

Q
What should I wear?
A
We have a casual atmosphere and simply encourage people to dress comfortably for the weather.

Q
What is your music like?
A
Our worship music is mostly band driven and contemporary. Check out this link to our Grace Hill Worship Spotify Playlist.

Q
Do I have to be a Christian to attend?
A
Absolutely not! We desire for everyone to feel comfortable attending our services and engaging in our community. We want Grace Hill to be a place where you can ask questions and wrestle with what you believe about God.
