Galatians 5:19-23 & 1 Corinthians 13:1-8

1. Read Luke 19:1-10. Why is it important that we notice the order of Jesus’ pursuit of Zaccheaus and the transformation that comes to his life?

2. What does it mean that Jesus doesn’t seek to change us to make us worthy of Him but he seeks to change us because He loves us?

3. Read Galatians 5:19-21. When Paul uses the word “work” to describe these examples, what does he mean? What are we “working” to accomplish?

4. Read Galatians 5:22-23. When Paul uses the word “fruit” to describe these examples, what does he mean? Who is doing the “work” to produce this fruit?

5. Do you trust God’s commands or put-up with God’s commands? (What is your view of repentance?)

6. Would those closest to you say that you’ve grown in patience and gentleness since following Jesus? (Has following Jesus brought a settledness and security to your soul? Why or why not?)

7. Are you an easy person to say hard things to? (Are you open to where the works of the flesh might be evident in your life?)
